Ozone Falls

Ozone Falls plunges 110 feet over a sandstone cap rock into a deep blue, rock-strewn pool then disappears underground until it re-emerges several feet downstream. An impressive rock house “amphitheater” can be seen behind the falls that was created over geologic time by wind, water, freeze/thaw, and erosion. Because of its picturesque beauty and easy access, Ozone Falls was selected for filming scenes for the movie “Jungle Book.” Ozone Falls State Park, off Hwy 70 in Ozone, TN, is 14 1/2 miles from the Cabins. It is an easy walk to the top of the Falls. However, be aware that you can walk to the edge of the 110 ft drop and there is no railing, so keep a careful eye on children or people with vertigo. |
